Craig Scott
Craig graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Western Australia. Working at a number of city law firms, Craig practised Family Law, Commercial Law and Estate Planning matters.
As of 2023 Craig has merged his previous boutique legal practice, CMS Legal, with Judy Tam, formally of Hearty and Tam, to create Scott and Tam Legal.
Craig is a Nationally Accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer representing children in both the Family Court and the Children’s Court.
A Member of The Law Society of Western Australia, The Law Council of Australia and Family Law Practitioners’ Association, Craig has extensive experience in all areas of Family Law, including property settlement, financial agreements, spousal maintenance, de facto relationships and child support.
Judy Tam
Judy completed her Bachelor of Laws at Murdoch University in 2002 following a career in the food industry. While studying, Judy was fortunate to gain experience in Family Law at Legal Aid on the Information Line. Judy also tutored Contract Law at Curtin University and lectured in Legal Framework at Curtin University’s International School during this time.
Judy has practiced exclusively in Family Law since her Admission to Practice as a Barrister and Solicitor in 2004. Judy commenced working for a Perth law firm that practiced exclusively in family law and then established Hearty and Tam Family Lawyers with Michelle Hearty in 2008. In July 2023, Judy and Craig Scott commenced practice as Scott and Tam Legal.
Judy remains committed and enthusiastic to the area of family law with interests in property and children’s matter especially relocation cases.
Judy has been nominated and included in the Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Parenting, Custody and Children’s Matters Lawyer (WA) in 2024 and 2021 and as a Recommended Parenting, Custody and Children’s Matters Lawyer (WA) in 2022, 2020, 2019 and 2017.
Judy is a member of the Family Law Practitioners Association of Western Australia, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Society.
Kerry Kennedy
Kerry graduated from Murdoch University with a double degree in Law and Psychology. Beginning her career in Kalgoorlie, before returning to Perth in 2018, Kerry was admitted to practice in Supreme Court of WA in 2012.
She has primarily worked in fields of criminal law, family law, estate planning and deceased estate.
Kerry is a Nationally Accredited Independent Children’s Lawyer representing children in both the Family Court and the Children’s Court
Kerry continues to work as a Director of the Children’s Charity Trust in Kalgoorlie, as she believes in assisting and supporting the community.
